So. One of the hubby's co-workers had his power go out due to the storms over the weekend/early part of the week. He was going to go stay at the house that the company rents for its contractors, but apparently it just got tense over there, what with the 4 people already staying there and the fact that he needed to bring his dog.

Thus, we have a house guest (with dog) for an undetermined amount of time, until they get the power fixed at his place.

Which is fine, I don't mind it that much. I wasn't expecting that I'd be dog-sitting during the day, though I suppose I should have seen that coming.

The catch? Well... Mind you, I have a dachshund, and a sheltie...

And this is the girl I'm puppy-sitting.

... Keep in mind, the brick wall there? About 3 feet high. Also to keep in mind, my dachsie = not fixed and is so trying to get him some of that. Which, granted, is entertaining, at least. I need to get him some Red Bull.

She really is gorgeous. And well-behaved, honestly. Just... large! I'm sitting at my desk, and she can (and has) easily put her chin on my shoulder. Without stretching.

She is huge! Her head, literally the size of the dachshund. Maybe a bit bigger.

And watching Loki (the dachsie) is hysterical. He has to stand on his hind feet, tippy toes, trying to sniff at her. And I'm just... Listen, pal. Not gonna happen. Sorry, buddy.

...what would a Loki/Tora puppy LOOK like?

I am so amused by this thought!

He's finally given up, he's laying all curled up on his puppy bed, I can't tell if he's just exhausted from giving it his best shot, or if he's sulking. Either way, It's damned amusing!

Man, I have no idea! Dachshunds are short by nature, and long-bodied. Danes are tall by nature, and boxy. I have no idea, it might be a puppy nightmare-worthy!
