It's a new LJ feature. They added a button so people can send you a pre-generated email that says "Hey, you haven't updated in a while! Be a friend and go post."

It does tell you who sent it. Of course, the new law means that LJ journal names don't count... that's still 'anonymous', I would think, since it isn't signed with your name.
